Welcome to the 21st Workshop on Aggression, 2016!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee and University of Oradea, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 21st Workshop on Aggression, 2016.
The conference will be held in Oradea-Baile Felix in November 18-19, 2016, being organized by the University of Oradea. Previous edition was organized in an important academic center, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Linz.
Oradea is the capital of Bihor county and Crisana region. Located in the North-West of Romania, on the banks of Crisul Repede River, Oradea was named at the beginning of the last century “The Small Paris”. The city is remarkable for a rich collection of Art Nouveau architecture. At a very close distance to Oradea, Baile Felix is the best known and most quality thermal spa resort in Romania. Many mineral springs known since 18th century help for many balneary treatments and well being activities.
Our conference venue, The Lotus Therm Hotel, is the newest, 5 stars hotel in Baile Felix. It is located at the forest edge, by the lakes filled with the sacred lotus, white lilies and thermal water lilies. The hotel building was completed in 2015, being the most spectacular hotel in the West side of the country.
The theme of the 21st Workshop on Aggression 2016 is Socio-Emotional Programs; Preventing Aggression. The conference will aim to: 1) present the latest research in the field of aggression with powerful prevention implications; 2) stimulate interdisciplinary research of aggressive and pro-social behaviors; 3) increase the cohesion of the explicative models of different types of aggression; 4) present the state of the art applications of socio-emotional programs in a large variety of contexts where aggression occurs.
Join us for a conference that will offer you a new perspective on the science of aggression and socio-emotional programs applications!

Almost 20 years have passed since the emergence of a new centre of higher-education in psychology in North-Western Romania. During these years, the Department of Psychology from the University of Oradea developed its human resources from young assistants to fully capable researchers, and its educational services from graduate training to postgraduate training (master's degree) in clinical and educational psychology. Facing numerous challenges, such as the decreasing number of school population or the ever-changing educational policies, the Department of Psychology grew stronger through the years and it currently offers some of the most appealing study programs form the University of Oradea.
Celebrating these 20 years since the beginning of our journey, we invite colleagues from Romania and abroad to share the results of their scientific efforts in the field of psychology, during the 21st Workshop on Aggression, 2016.
